Isabelle joined The Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice (TDI) in September 2016, where she is placed during her 2016-17 German Harkness/B. Braun Stiftung Fellowship in Health Care Policy and Practice. She is a Clinical Psychologist and licensed Psychotherapist with a Doctoral Degree in Medical Psychology. Her research experience lies in implementation of shared decision-making (SDM) and patient-centered care, as well as in the development and psychometric testing of measures to assess SDM and other dimensions of patient-centered care. She has a broad research interest in health services research and implementation science.
Isabelle also holds the position of Head of Research Group on patient-centered care at the Department of Medical Psychology at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf in Germany, where she also lectures in a range of courses at the medical school and is involved in clinical work in psychooncology.
During her fellowship placement at TDI she works on enhancing the implementation of shared decision-making in cancer care through solutions that address organizational-level barriers.
